Strawberry-Cantaloupe Frozen Lemonade

We are in the full swing of summer! It's July already? Crazy how time is flying. It is time to beat the heat and still enjoy every moment you can outdoors!

I personally really try to stay away from all the food dyed, high sugared drinks that are so readily available at the grocery store. My kids need to be hydrated, and I do want them to enjoy fun and yummy cold drinks. So, while working on my drink mixology skills, we came up with this amazing frozen lemonade! It would be a perfect addition to your Fourth of July Picnic.

STRAWBERRY-CANTALOUPE FROZEN LEMONADE

Grab your favorite blender and crush one cup of ice. (I have a Ninja blender. I love it!)

One cup of cantaloupe goes in next. When there is a major sale on cantaloupes (Like $1 each) I buy a bunch chop it up and freeze them. (Frozen chunks are a perfect addition for smoothies or substitute for ice in water or tea.)

One cup of frozen Strawberries next. (Again, I buy extra strawberries during peak season and freeze them. Way cheeper then buying them pre-frozen from the store!)

Pour in your favorite lemonade. (Fresh or from a mix)

My boys think making their own frozen drinks is super cool! (See that smile... Ya, it kills me!)

You won't need much sweetener in this drink. Add honey to taste.
