Maybe you are like me, and are trying to add some protein to your diet. It is not always easy to do, but Orgain Protein Powder can be an easy and tasty way to get the protein you want in your meals.
The creator of Orgain, Dr. Andrew Abraham, was looking for high-quality nutrition when he underwent cancer treatment many years ago. Since he could not find good quality, he was inspired to create delicious nutrition products using only the highest quality of organic ingredients.
Some of the organic ingredients in Orgain Protein Powder are plant-based proteins such as hemp, chia, brown rice, and pea proteins. Being organic and natural makes Orgain the best.
If you have tried other protein powders, you may have them to be lumpy or thick. Orgain Protein Powder is creamy and smooth, unlike many other brands. You will not get any chalky or gritty taste in your mouth. This protein powder mixes in well with your other ingredients.
You can get recipe ideas on Orgain’s website . Smoothies and shakes are a natural fit to add protein powder, Try Orgain Protein Powder in pancakes, and healthy treats. I chose to add the protein powder to my recipe for Sausage and Cheese Breakfast Biscuits. These Breakfast Biscuits are great for a quick weekday meal in the morning.
Here are the ingredients:
1 lb Sausage (hot or Mild)
3 C. shredded Cheese (Colby Jack, Mozzarella, and/or Pepper Jack
2 C. Flour
2 Tsp Baking Soda
1 Tsp Seasoning Salt
1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder
1/4 Tsp Black Pepper
3/4 C. Half & Half or Milk
¼ cup Orgain Protein Powder
Begin by tossing Cheese, Sausage and Flour into a bowl. (I use whole wheat flour, but you can use all-purpose if you want.)
Some Baking Soda will give the biscuits a little lift.
A little Seasoning Salt.
Garlic powder makes the biscuit pop with flavor!
And Black Pepper to round out your seasonings.
Add the Orgain Protein Powder and mix well.
Here come the messy part... Start adding Half n Half or Milk a 1/4 c. at a time. Mix gently, folding mixture over the liquid.
Don't overmix! When everything is combined, scoop out 2-3 in. balls onto a greased baking sheet. Bake at 375˚ for 20 min.
Breakfast is served! (Or snack, or dinner, or anytime you want to grab one!) ENJOY!
