No Bake Chocolate Banana Energy Bites


School is just about in full swing! I can't believe how fast this summer flew by. Busy schedules are beginning to form and I need to stock up on after school snacks and quick on-the-go, energy boosting eats! These little bites are filled with fiber and are peanut free! They are bite size and chocolate which makes them appealing not just to my kids, but to me! (gotta keep the mamma full of energy!)


Start with Flaxseeds which have all sorts of benefits for your body. Omega3's & Fiber to name a few.

A cup of shredded Coconut next!

Oatmeal, we know of course, is good for you. That goes in next.

Some applesauce.

Here comes the Chocolate! A little cocoa powder.

Smash a Banana.

Did you know that Coconut Oil helps you burn fat and reduces heart disease?! (There are tons of other amazing tips on the benefits and uses of coconut oil out there! Worth a little investment and investigation!)

I like my treats a little sweet. So I threw in a teaspoon of Truvia!

Mix it all up.

Dig out spoonfuls and roll into bite size balls.

Place wax paper between layers.

Refrigerate for a few hours to harden. Set them out on the counter and watch them disappear!

They also will help make sad little boys calm down.

Store in an air tight container in the fridge. ENJOY!

1/4 C. Flaxseeds

1 C. shredded Coconut

2 C. instant Oatmeal

1/3 C. Applesauce

1 1/2 Tsp Cocoa Powder

2/3 C. Smashed Banana

1 Tbsp Coconut Oil

1 Tsp Sugar or Sugar Substitute

Mix all ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. Scoop out by teaspoonfuls and roll into bit size pieces. Refrigerate for a few hours to harden balls. Enjoy!
