I enjoy driving. Whether it’s a run to the grocery store or a long distance trip during a vacation, driving has always been something that I prefer to do. So when I was thinking of what car I should take on my next trip out west, I wanted it to be something that was not only safe but fun to drive as well.
When the Drive Shop gave me an option for a car during my latest trip, my choice was easy, The Kia Soul, it is just too adorable. Okay, I’m a girl and that always matters to me, but the lime green color and modern design stood out, and I just couldn’t help myself.
For my husband, his decision to drive the car was based on specs… which to him were excellent. Having dual front advanced airbags, dual front seat mounted side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, and 3-point seat belts for all seating positions made the Kia Soul an easy choice for him. And don’t tell him I told you but he loved the way it looked too!!
Our vacation included a lot of family time, and I must say that my family was quite envious of the car. Needless to say my husband and I spent a lot of time doing the driving. From the outside the size is conceiving. Although classified as a small to midsized car, the Kia Soul has more then enough room for four adults, with plenty of legroom.
Features include push start technology, a supervision meter cluster with a 4.3” thin film transistor (TFT) color LCD display, an advanced additional restraint system, hidden storage compartments which was great for carrying all the extra stuff we have for the kids, padded folding rear center armrest included a convenient spot for drinks, and our model had a hand-stitched, leather-wrapped steering wheel which added a luxurious feel to the already great ride.
As if all that wasn’t enough, I couldn’t get over how great the gas mileage was. We drove the Kia Soul for a day and a half straight before we needed to stop for gas. I absolutely believe the 24-city/30-highway miliage the company says the car gets.
I’d highly recommend the Kia Soul for anyone looking for a reliable, safe, fun addition to his or her driving experience.
