Recently, my family took a trip to California. It was a mix of business and pleasure. Anytime I can make it home to California and spend time with my family is a win in my book! I love when I can combine fun time with family and business.
This trip started out quite interesting with the weather delaying our flights and causing all kinds of craziness! When we finally made it to our destination, I was so relieved to receive a beautiful, comfortable, and reliable car to drive for the week. There is something so reassuring about having a reliable car.
The Mazda 2014 CX-9 was ours for the week! I was so excited to have the opportunity to test drive this great vehicle. I had heard great things, but was excited to be able to see Mazda in action first hand. First off, both Jared and I loved the look and size of the Mazda. Everything from the comfortable seats to the sunroof made this car an enjoyable ride for us.
Having three rows of seats was so convenient! We were able to take extra family members along with us everywhere we went. It was a little difficult to get to the car seats to buckle the little ones into third row. Overall, no one felt squished in or uncomfortable.
My kids really loved sitting in the third row. Having them all the way in the back allowed my husband and I the opportunity to enjoy some great conversations during our "mostly" quiet drives around Southern California. The CX-9 seats seven.
California is one of the WORST places for traffic. I can't even describe to you the tension that you feel when you are on the 405 Freeway. The CX-9 gave helped so much as it had Blind Spot detector. A light flashed in the side mirror whenever someone was in my blind spot. I am sure that this feature has prevented many accidents.
The CX-9 came loaded with so many features. I felt like I was driving a luxury vehicle but at a fraction of the cost.
My husband's favorite feature on the CX-9 was the ability to stream Pandora off his phone. There is nothing more wonderful then having your favorite tunes blasting in the car as you drive down the road. The GPS system was really easy to use and follow. Having a GPS built into the car was such a help while driving all over California and into some not as familiar areas.
We drove all over Southern California. The CX-9 got great gas mileage for such a large vehicle, while averaging 24 MPG. With a V-6 engine, it had good get up and go. It was an easy drive, smooth and very comfortable. The CX-9 is a perfect family vehicle for taking long trips or sitting in California traffic! LOL.
We drove the CX-9 for both business and pleasure. Business was attending a Natural Expo. I was so excited to meet Iron Chef Cat Cora at the Natural Expo. She was really sweet and friendly. Not to mention all her products were AMAZING!
We had a great trip and loved seeing our family. The whole trip was made smooth and enjoyable with the Mazda CX-9. It was too bad we couldn't take the Mazda home with us!
If you are looking for a great, reliable, and inexpensive SUV, then I highly recommend the Mazda CZ-9!
