Asian Turkey Lettuce Wrap


Have you tried lettuce wraps? They are a fun and yummy way to eliminate carbs from a dish. These wraps make a great appetizer or have them as a meal. Super easy to put together. Grab your Hoisin Sauce and Soy Sauce and let's get Cooking!


Begin by browning ground Turkey & chopped onions in vegetable oil and Sesame Seed Oil.

While your meat is browning. Begin making your sauce. In a bowl, plop in a good plop of Hoisin Sauce. (I like the word Plop. hehehe)

Add a little Chili Garlic Sauce. Like it HOT? Add some more.

A little Corn Starch for thickening.

Splash in some Soy Sauce.

And of course, Garlic. A good helping of Garlic!

Splash in a couple of tablespoons of water.

When you meat is browned, pour your sauce into the hot pan. Allow to bubble and thicken. You can thin your sauce with a little water if you need to.

Wash some lettuce leaves. (you can use any leaf you like. I like using iceberg or butter lettuce heads.)

Sprinkle a little Green Onion on the meat for a little somethin'-somethin'!  What a gorgeous and fun dish! ENJOY!

1 lb. Ground Turkey

1 small Onion, diced

1 Tbsp Vegetable Oil

1 Tbsp Sesame Seed Oil

1 1/2 Tsp Hoisin Sauce

1/2 Tsp Chile Garlic Sauce

1 Tbsp Cornstarch

2 Tbsp Soy Sauce

1 Tbsp diced Garlic

2 Tbsp Water

Diced Greed Onions for garnish

8-10 Lettuce Leaves

Brown turkey and onion in vegetable & sesame seed oil. In a bowl, mix together Hoisin sauce, chili garlic sauce, cornstarch, soy sauce, garlic & water. When meat is cooked, pour sauce into hot pan and allow to thicken. Arrange lettuce leaves next to meat on a platter. Sprinkle green onions on top of meat for garnish. ENJOY!
