When you have food allergies, sometimes the hardest obstacle you have to overcome is finding good substitutes when cooking. Having faced this challenge myself, I know that it can be frustrating to know what options I have. Here are 10 Great Egg Replacements to use when cooking.

1. Flaxseed
~ Mix 1 Tbsp ground Flaxseed with 3 Tbsp warm Water & let stand for 1 minute.

2. Silken Tofu
~ Make sure it is well mixed and very smooth before using.

3. Applesauce
~ 1/4 C. Applesauce = 1 egg

4. Bananas
~ 1/2 medium Banana, mashed

5. Gelatin
~ Mix 1 C. boiling Water with 2 Tsp. unflavored Gelatin.   3 1/2 Tbsp. of gelatin blend = 1 egg

6. Vegetable oil & Baking Powder
~ Mix 1 1/2 Tbsp vegetable Oil with 1 1/2 Tbsp Water & 1 Tsp Baking Powder.

7. Xanthan Gum

8. Plain or Soy Yogurt
~ 1/2 C. Yogurt = 1 egg

9. Pureed Fruit or Pumpkin
~3 Tbsp = 1 egg

10. Chickpea Flour
~3 Tbsp Chickpea flour & 3 Tbsp Water
