“I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Influence Central for Hood Cream. I received product samples as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.”
I am so excited to be able to introduce you to Hood Cream. HP Hood is one of the largest branded dairy operators in the U.S. today. Hood was founded in 1846 by Harvey Perley Hood in Charlestown, MA.
Many of the best restaurant kitchens use Hood cream, but we are lucky enough to have Hood products available in local grocery stores across New England to cook with in our own kitchens.
Hood Cream is a trusted ingredient for both home and professional chefs. The quality of Hood products helps to make sure all of your favorite recipes will turn out great every time.
I was able to attend an awesome Immersion Dinner at Deuxave, hosted by Chef Chris Coombs. The dinner had many courses, all using Hood Cream products, and everything was delicious. I can’t wait to try cooking some of these dishes at home. I know my family will love them. I look forward to #CookWithHood
Chef Coombs was able to make my meal allergy friendly. This Hood dinner was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. The food, as you can see, was amazing. I had no reactions at all which made my night!
Heirloom Tomato Gazpacho
This Gazpacho was one of the creamiest and delicious soups I have ever tasted. The flavor was well balanced and not too heavy. The creamy texture was so pleasant and almost melted in my mouth.
Summer Corn and Tomatoes with Basil
Although all the flavors went together well, I really enjoyed the tomatoes and the sauce best. This corn dish was so refreshing and tasted amazing.
Giannone Chicken with Tomato Nage
The chicken was cooked perfectly and easy to eat. The Tomato Nage was light and fully complemented the chicken.
Niman Ranch Prime New York Strip with Madeira Cream Sauce
The Prime New York Strip steak was cooked just the way I wanted. I love medium rare meat and this steak was perfect. The Madeira Cream sauce was incredible and really made the perfect companion to this delicious steak.
Potato and Caramelized Onion Gratin
This potato dish was incredible. I even had seconds! The caramelized onion gratin had just the right flavor. This item went really well with the Madeira cream sauce from the steak, too.
The group at dinner enjoyed talking with Chef Coombs and the Hood team about the menu and how Hood products are used in the cooking process.

Roasted Peach Melba
My absolute favorite part of dinner was the dessert. Roasted Peach Melba was served, and it was divine. The fruit was delicious, but the cream on top made it so delicious and mouth-watering.
